Finished a two-days writing course over the weekend. I am really glad that I did it.
So maybe I won’t be a great writer but have discovered that (maybe) I can, in fact write. Good or bad, who knows?
I was quite nervous to start with (at the beginning of the course). Not knowing what I had gotten myself into? What happens, if I really do suck at writing? OMG, I have to share what I have written with the class (I have read it aloud)!
Thankfully, our tutor, Joan Rosier-Jones, was very encouraging and knowledgeable. And made us feel very much at ease.
My fellow classmates were all very friendly and eager learn. Guess, most of us were in the same shoes. There were some, I thought, that were just naturals. Words seemed to flow out so naturally for them. But they too were looking for some sort of guidance and assurance. This made me feel a little better.
I’ve never been so excited about writing before. And I can’t wait to see, what the outcome will be?

It was actually really nice to be able to spend time doing something, not mummy related for a weekend. I am also really thankful to my hubby for being so understanding and looking after bubs.
